Daniel Snoke is the Worship Training and Resource Specialist for the CCO and the Music Director at City Reformed Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA. Having spent 7 years as campus ministry staff at Point Park University, his work now focuses on training and equipping churches and student organizations from a diversity of traditions and cultures to serve both the faithful and the skeptic in Christ centered worship. Daniel writes music for worship and released his debut EP, At Last - Far Off, in 2013. In 2018, he released Lent and Advent compilations of singles from his work with Cardiphonia and City Reformed. In 2008 and 2015 he produced Heart Sounds International productions in Yangon, Myanmar and the Peruvian Amazon.
In 2015, Daniel released a full length album of poetry from Alfred Lord Tennyson, Memoriam. The Pittsburgh City Paper (11.18.15) said, “Employing delicate vocal harmonies and dramatic instrumentation... [Daniel Snoke] falls somewhere between the baroque pop of Andrew Bird and Neo-Americana bands like The Lone Bellow.” In June 2018, Daniel released a collaborative EP with Michael Savisky (of Colonizing the Cosmos) under the name Swanee River Ducky Tours.
Daniel is passionate about artists seeking the common good through the hands of the local church by stewarding the imaginations of all people. Through corporate worship and musical entertainment, his goal is to help form and direct both the beliefs and expressions of others to the glory of God.
Pittsburgh native and Duquesne Music School grad, Daniel is a Pennsylvania rust-belt evangelist who takes any and every opportunity to preach the cultural legacy of the City of Bridges. He and his wife live in Highland Park, where they spend their time renovating a 110+ year old house. Daniel has also spent time as a recording engineer for the Apsen Music Festival and School, Pittsburgh Digital recording company, Audible Images studio, and the Pittsburgh Opera.
